Candidates for the six DTT channels proposed by the Higher Audiovisual Council (CSA) filed before the policeman audiovisual until March 14 to present 34 projects in total.
Each candidate will have 45 minutes to sell their projects. The Team HD, sports newspaper chain, will open the show on Monday at 9:30 ET NRJ Group will close March 14 at 5:10 p.m. with Honey HD, for women. Hearings will be public and broadcast live on the CSA website.
The appeal, launched in October for the dissemination of six new HD channels on digital terrestrial television (DTT), has attracted 34 entries.
All, whether from large groups or mere associations, cover DTT, while the call was open to projects paid.
DTT has the lead in the wing due to the cost of dissemination (six million euros per year) was too high in terms of revenue and volume of viewers (500,000 subscribers).
Some companies have focused on topics that do not exist on Freeview, currently dominated by generalist programming.
The DTT could see the arrival of a chain of nature and animals (Friends TV), on “French excellence” (Cocagne), diversity (tYou the Télédiversité), the art of living (Via), science ( Science News), religion (KTO Catholic Television), economics (BFM Business), weather (The Weather Channel, the group Le Figaro), theater (eNO rm-TV), the 15-35 age group ( My NRJ), students (MCE TV), Overseas (Aci TV) and ongoing news in the world (World Evazion TV).
Several projects are in competition: three chains feminine Elletv (Lagardère), ChérieHD (NRJ Group) and Stylia (TF1), three of audiovisual fiction, HD1 (TF1), France ID 1 (JLA Holding) chain and Heritage (Association same name).
The team, supported by the National Olympic Committee and French sports (CNOSF), and NextRadioTV (RMC BFMTV) are positioned both on the sport, with Team RMC Sport HD and HD.
Urban culture may have a place with URBtv (Urban GroupTNT) Ofive TV (TV Oyas) and Generations. TNT (space group).
Teleshopping interested TF1 and M6 (24 and Trend Boutique & Co), while TV and Fiducial NextRadioTV want to start each of documentary channels (RMC Discovery and D. Facto).
Europe Guysen TV, cable channel continuous news, wants a similar project on the DTT, competing channels existing i-TELE, Canal + Group, and BFM TV.
Newspaper companies and Le Nouvel Observateur Fleurus Presse have a common general-interest channel, 360 TV. NRJ also a generalist, “Nosta the TV”.
M6 maintains the mystery surrounding “Hexa” and “6TER”, two projects that will be unveiled Monday at the CSA that, for the first, and March 14 for the second.
The CSA will select the six best projects from mid-March and issuing licenses to publishers take place “before the end of May” for an expected start in the fall.
